Rift Anomalies

Rift Anomalies are a Gameplay Mechanic in Fortnite: Battle Royale that were introduced in Chapter 7: Season 1 . They are events that have a chance to happen after each Storm Phase.

Rift Anomalies can occur after a Storm Phase begins, and their effects always end shortly after that Storm Phase fully closes, unless stated otherwise. Each Rift Anomaly has a predetermined chance to happen and usually can only happen once in a match, with some Rift Anomalies only having a chance to occur before, during, or after a specific Storm Phase.
