Smoke Grenade

The Smoke Grenade is a Utility Item in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Season 1 .

Smoke Grenades are thrown to produce a large cloud of smoke, obscuring an area from view. This cloud is a sphere, several meters across that can only be seen through with Thermal Vision . When anyone walks inside the smoke cloud, their vision is completely obscured until they walk out or the smoke otherwise wears off. Multiple Smoke Grenades can be thrown in one place, and they will detonate on landing. This smoke lasts around 20 seconds.
