The buried Sprite Chest always spawns inside the Safe Zone Circle, at least 80 meters away from the player who used the Sprite Locator, and up to 300 meters away. It is also marked in the HUD for the user only, and on the map for the user and their teammates. Any player can unbury and open the Chest if they manage to find the buried spot, but the Sprite preview above it can only be seen by the player who used the Sprite Locator.

It can only be used while inside the Safe Zone Circle and before Storm Phase 6. It can be used while moving, but jumping cancels the use, and movement speed is reduced by 20% during use.

The Sprite Locator can be equipped through the Gizmo Wheel and then used to spawn and mark a buried Sprite Chest that contains a random Sprite , with a preview of the selected Sprite displayed as a hologram above it. The buried Sprite Chest always spawns inside the Safe Zone Circle, at least 80 meters away from the player who used the Sprite Locator, and up to 300 meters away.
